AusBrands includes data compiled directly from the product labels for nutrients such as energy, protein, total fat, saturated fat, carbohydrate, sugars and sodium. In addition, in many cases AusBrands products have been linked to an appropriate food in AusFoods to derive an approximate nutrient profile for nutrients available in AusFoods, including the nutrient/component extensions. Some AusBrands foods have been updated with micronutrients from the Australian Food Composition Database (AFCD). AusBrands is developed by Xyris. The following information applies to specific nutrients/components. Salicylates, Amines and GlutamateValues for salicylates, amines and glutamate for the most common food products have been provided by the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital Allergy Unit, Sydney.
