What is a recipe?

A recipe is a type of Professional resource. For each recipe, you enter the ingredients and their quantities.

By default, the nutrient analysis is based on these ingredients, as well as other information you might provide, such as retention factors for the ingredients and the recipe yield. You can also optionally provide serve information, common measures and a method.

Once created, you can use the recipe in other resources—as a food in a food record, 24 hour recall or meal plan, or as an ingredient in another recipe. When you make changes to the recipe, any resource using it is automatically updated.

You can view the analyses for a recipe per 100g, per serve, for the total recipe or per a weight of your choice.

Recipes that are initially created as a workspace resource can be copied to one or more clients.
