About Country of Origin Labelling

Country of Origin Labelling (CoOL) is a labelling system that informs consumers about which country a food product has come from. Most food products sold in Australia are required to identify where the product was made, grown, packed, produced or imported from. How this should be declared is detailed in the Country of Origin Food Labelling Information Standard 2016

Foodworks lets you undertake CoOL to comply with the requirements under the Country of Origin Food Labelling Information Standard 2016. Foodworks calculates the percentage of Australian ingredients for your recipes, helps you formulate your text statements and provides the graphical standard mark for your food labels.

Notes

For information about how to comply with the CoOL requirements under Australian law, see: ACCC: Country of Origin food labelling
