To set up a brand new Foodworks.online organisation with SSO
To set up your organisation to allow Single Sign On (SSO) using your Microsoft Entra ID, you must first assign yourself the role of Foodworks.online Azure admin. See the Notes below for more information.
- Assign yourself the role of Foodworks.online Azure admin.
- In your browser, go to foodworks.online.
- Click Try for free.
- Select continue with Microsoft Entra ID and follow the prompts to sign in. This will open in a new window.
- Follow the prompts to create your organisation and commence your free trial.
During the free trial the organisation is limited to one user. To admit new users to your account, create an active subscription.
To convert an existing organisation into an SSO only organisation
To convert your existing organisation to require SSO using your Microsoft Entra ID, you must assign yourself the role of Foodworks.online Azure admin, using the email address that you currently use for your Foodworks.online account. See the Notes below for more information.
- Assign the role of Foodworks.online Azure admin to the email that you use for your Foodworks.online account
- In your browser, go to foodworks.online.
- Click Sign In.
- Select continue with Microsoft Entra ID and follow the prompts to sign in. This will open in a new window.
- In the new window, select the the Foodworks.online Azure admin email that matches the email of your existing Foodworks.online account.
- Once logged in, navigate to your Organisation settings.
- Select the Integrations tab.
- Click Connect and authenticate your Microsft Entra login.
Your organisation will now no longer accept email and password logins. Users in your organisation will be prompted to continue with their Microsoft Entra ID the next time they try to sign in.
Microsoft SSO Settings
- When Microsoft SSO integration is activated, all existing users in the organisation on next sign in will be required to use SSO.
- By default, any new users to an organisation must be invited by the Organisation owner or an Admin. This option may be changed on the Integrations tab to admit any users with a matching email domain.
Notes
Assigning the Foodworks.online Administrator Role for Microsoft SSO
To create a Foodworks organisation that requires users to log in via Microsoft SSO, you must assign the appropriate role to the Foodworks.online Enterprise Application in Microsoft Azure.
Initial Sign In
Sign in to Foodworks.online at least once using your Microsoft Entra ID.
- In your browser, go to foodworks.online.
- Click Sign In.
- Select continue with Microsoft Entra ID and follow the prompts to sign in.
Access the Enterprise Application:
In the Microsoft Azure Administration portal, navigate to Enterprise Applications and select Foodworks.online.
- Manage Users and Groups: You have two options to manage user assignments. Click on Assign users and groups under the Getting Started section OR from the navigation pane, click Manage and select Users and groups.
- Assign Elevated Permissions: Identify the users who should have elevated permissions to create and manage SSO-integrated organisations. If a user is not listed, click Add user/group to grant them access manually.
- Edit Role Assignment: Click on Edit assignment in the toolbar.
- Select Role: Click None selected to view the available roles, then select the Foodworks Administrator role.
- Finalise Assignment: Click Assign to complete the process.
When the Foodworks.online Organisation owner or Admin logs into Foodworks.online with their Microsoft Entra ID next time, they will have the necessary permissions to manage Microsoft SSO in their organisation settings.
