This article applies to the following workspace types
Professional and Nutrition Labelling
A data source is a set of food composition data. Each data source contains reference foods and their nutrient data. You use reference foods to build recipes, meal plans and other work in Foodworks.
Some data sources are created and maintained by the Foodworks team, such as AusBrands and Hospital Foods. Others are food composition tables released by external publishers, such as AFCD and NZ FOODfiles. For these, the Foodworks team brings the publisher's data into Foodworks and keeps it up to date as new editions are released.
Each workspace has its own data source settings. You choose which data sources are enabled, and only reference foods from enabled data sources appear in search. The data sources enabled by default depend on your country chosen when creating your workspace initially.
Data sources are updated from time to time, and each update is published as a new version. By default, a workspace always uses the latest version of each data source. If you need your nutrient data to stay the same over time, you can pin the workspace to a specific version.
