What is a meal plan?

A meal plan is a type of Professional resource that you can create for a client or as a workspace resource. Meal plans are used to prospectively plan all food, drink and dietary supplement intake for a client over one or more days.

You can analyse meal plans as an average intake per day (Avg/day), per 1 megajoule of the total meal plan(1MJ) or by the sum of all foods recorded (Total).

In Professional, meal plans can be associated with a client or they can exist on their own as a workspace resource.

When a meal plan is associated with a client you can view the client's planned nutrient intake against their Nutrient Reference Values (NRVs) and their custom goals. To find out more about NRVs, see the support article Nutrient Reference Values explained.

Meal plans that are initially created as a workspace resource can be copied to one or more clients.
