What is a food record?

This article applies to the following workspace types

Professional

A food record records all the foods, drinks and dietary supplements a person had over one or more days. Unlike a meal plan, it records what was actually eaten. Unlike a 24 hour recall, it can cover several days.

You can create a food record for a specific client or for the whole workspace. A workspace food record can be copied to one or more clients.

Analysing a food record

You can view a food record's analysis as:

  • Avg/day: the average intake per day
  • 1MJ: nutrients per megajoule of energy (nutrient density)
  • Total: the sum of everything recorded

For a client's food record, you can also compare their intake against their Nutrient Reference Values (NRVs) and custom goals. See Nutrient Reference Values explained.
