Nutrition Labelling
A raw material is a custom ingredient you create for use in recipes and sub recipes. It's usually an ingredient from an external supplier, with nutrient values taken from the supplier's product specification sheet or from commissioned analyses. Once created, it appears in the navigation pane with your other resources. Publish the raw material to make it available to other users and for use in recipes and sub recipes.
To add nutrient data, you can base the raw material on a similar item from the data sources or enter values from the specification sheet. You can also combine the two, basing it on a similar item and entering your own values for selected nutrients.
You also set how the raw material appears on labels: its label name, and whether it's declared as a simple ingredient, compound ingredient, reconstituted ingredient, additive, processing aid or inedible component.
You can view the analysis per 100 g or for a custom gram amount, and per 100 mL if the raw material is a liquid.
When you edit a raw material, all recipes and labels that use it recalculate automatically, including labels you've already finalised.
