Declare a raw material as an additive

If a raw material is a food additive, declare it as an additive. In the ingredient list, additives appear as their class name followed by their code, for example emulsifier (322) or preservative (202).

Declare a raw material as an additive

1. Open the raw material and click Edit.
2. On the General tab, from the Label declaration dropdown, select Additive.
3. From the Class Name dropdown, select the additive's class, such as emulsifier.
4. In Additive Code, enter the additive's code number, such as 322.

Changes save automatically. When you're ready, click Publish.
