Generating allergen declarations for labels

This article applies to the following workspace types

Nutrition Labelling

Foodworks generates allergen declarations for your labels from the allergens you declare on each raw material.

Declare allergens for raw materials

On each raw material's Nutrients tab, set a value for every allergen. If any are left unset, a warning message appears at the top of the screen. See Declare allergens for a raw material.

Allergens on recipe labels

When you use a raw material in a recipe or sub recipe, the recipe inherits its allergens. These appear on the recipe's label automatically:

  • in bold in the ingredient list
  • in a Contains or May contain statement, as appropriate

For example:

To change the inherited allergens for a recipe or sub recipe, set them on its Overrides tab. See Override allergen declarations for a recipe or sub recipe.
