To view your Easy Diet Diary client's diary, you first need to link a Foodworks Professional client to an Easy Diet Diary user. Once the client accepts the Easy Diet Diary invitation, you can view their food diary in Foodworks Professional.
View the client's diary
On the Client Dashboard
The Client Dashboard provides a quick look into your client's food intake.
- Open Foodworks and navigate to the Professional workspace with your client.
- From the navigation pane, select the client.
- On the Dashboard, look for the Food diary card. By default, the food diary will display the Easy Diet Diary user's most recently logged day.
To view entries from a different day:
- Use the date picker to select the desired date.
- Only days with logged food, exercise, or image entries will be selectable.
On the Diary tab

- Open Foodworks and navigate to the Professional workspace containing your client.
- From the navigation pane, select the client.
- Click Diary.
The Easy Diet Diary user's diary will display, see the example below. For more information about each component of the Diary tab, see below.
Date navigation
The date navigation allows you to move through each day in the food diary. Only days with logged food, exercise, or image entries will be shown in the date navigation.
Calendar
The calendar allows you to quickly jump to a day in the diary.
- Use the date picker to select the desired date.
- Only days with logged food, exercise, or image entries will be selectable.
Create snapshot
The create snapshot button allows you to create a two-week snapshot food diary from your client's food diary. This allows you to edit and create reports of the diary. For more information see Create a food record snapshot.
Diary
A read-only food diary of the selected day will be displayed.
- Each section can be collapsed and expanded using the arrows next to the meal name.
- A nutrient focus column for energy is enabled by default.
- To enable additional nutrients select
Edit nutrient focus column.
Analysis
The analysis pane is shown on the right. It lists the nutrients and values for the client's food diary. You can view your client's nutrient intake analysis based on either the current day or as an average per day.

If the analysis pane is collapsed, click the
expander arrow to display it.

Toggle between displaying the analysis for the Current day or Avg/Day.
- If Avg/Day is selected, you can select a time period from the dropdown menu. Only days with logged foods, exercises or photos will be included in the average analysis, as indicated in the dropdown. For example, if your client has logged foods in their diary for 5 days in the current month, the dropdown will indicate this accordingly, see below:
- To collapse and expand groups of nutrients, use the expander arrow beside the nutrient group name.

Nutrients to display in the nutrient focus column can also be selected from the analysis pane.
- Nutrients shown in the analysis pane can be filtered by following the steps in this article.
NRV
Select the NRV tab on the analysis pane to display the Nutrient Reference Value (NRV) analysis for the chosen day.
