What is a resource?

A resource is something you create in Foodworks, such as a recipe, food, meal plan, food record or 24 hour recall. Resources belong to a workspace and are listed in its navigation pane.

Workspace and client resources

You can create a resource for the whole workspace or for a specific client.

• Workspace resources are listed in the navigation pane.
• Client resources belong to one client and are listed on that client's Resources tab. To also show them in the navigation pane, turn on Show client resources in Navigation options.

Resources, reference foods and clients

Resources are different from reference foods, which are the foods and recipes provided in the data sources. You can use reference foods, but you can't edit them.

Clients are not resources. A client holds information about a person, and can have its own client resources.
