Create, edit and publish resources

Every resource has a published version and can have a draft. You make changes in the draft, which saves automatically, and the published version stays unchanged until you publish.

You can create a resource for the whole workspace or for a specific client.

Create a resource for the workspace

1. Open your workspace.
2. In the navigation pane, select + Create new resource or client, then choose the type of resource.
3. Enter a name for the resource, then add any other information you need.
4. Changes save automatically. When you're ready, click Publish.

Create a resource for a client

1. In the navigation pane, select the client.
2. On the client's Resources tab, click Create new, then choose the type of resource.
3. Enter a name for the resource, then add any other information you need.
4. Changes save automatically. When you're ready, click Publish.

Client resources are listed on the client's Resources tab. To also show them in the navigation pane, turn on Show client resources in Navigation options.

Edit a resource

1. Open the resource. You'll see the published version, where you can change its name, apply tags and attach files.
2. To make any other changes, click Edit. If the resource already has a draft, it opens with your earlier changes.
3. When you're ready, click Publish to update the published version.

A resource with a draft has an indicator next to its icon in the navigation pane, and an Unpublished changes banner at the top of the resource.

Close or discard a draft

• Click Close to leave the draft and keep your changes for later.
• Click Close and discard draft to delete your changes. The published version is unchanged.

FAQs

Can other users in my workspace see my drafts? No. Drafts are private to you, even in a shared workspace. Other users see your changes once you publish them.

Are draft changes used in my other resources or graphs? No. Only the published version is used. For example, unpublished changes to a custom food don't appear in recipes or calculations until you publish the food.
