Create or edit a raw material

To create a new raw material

  1. Open or create a workspace.
  2. In the navigation pane, click Create new resource and select Raw material.
  3. Enter the name of the raw material. This is your internal name.
  4. The raw material is saved automatically and appears in the navigation pane.

To complete entering data for the raw material, click each of its tabs in turn (General, Nutrients and Measures), and work through the fields from top to bottom.

To edit a raw material

  1. Open the raw material, click Edit and make the necessary edits. 
  2. Changes are saved automatically.

Fields on the General tab

Name
Enter the name of the raw material.
ID 1 and ID 2
Optional: Enter IDs for this raw material. IDs are optional searchable terms.
Tags
Optional: Classify the raw material by tagging it with an existing tag or creating a new tag. Click in the Tags box, then click Add tag
Label declaration
From the Label declaration dropdown, select the type of label declaration for the raw material. By default, Simple ingredient is selected for you.
Declaration name
Type the name that you wish to appear on nutrition labels.
Ingredient group
Optional: Assign the raw material to an ingredient group.
Description
Optional: Enter a description for this raw material. 
Note
Optional: Enter notes for this raw material.
Published
Timestamp showing when this food was first published.
Attach file
Optional: Upload and attach a file to this raw material resource. Accepted file formats include .csv, .doc, .xls, .xlsx, .pdf, .jpeg, .jpg, .png, .gif.
Activity
A log of all the activity history for this raw material resource, including editing and publishing history.
